Several Maine wineries make interesting wines from blueberries, pears, apples, peaches, and honey. Some of these wines are dry and quite similar to wines made from grapes; it's fun to serve one of these to see if people can guess what it is! Other Maines wines are semi-sweet - to - sweet, and are great dessert wines.  Maine wines make great gifts, especially for people who do not expect wines to be a Maine product!
